Edward Gibbon (1737ko maiatzaren 8a - 1794ko urtarrilaren 16a) historialari britainiar bat izan zen, askoren ustez Tazitoren garaitik izan den garrantzitsuena. Bere lan nagusiaren (The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire) eragina gaur egunerarte heldu da.
