Instructions to obtain the bot approval (Explanation in English)

I Create a user page for the bot with the following explanations Explain bot's function, languagues it uses and programming language (pywikipedia framework...). Explain whether it is operated manually or automatically. If it is for a short period, for how long it needs the flag. Notify operator's name. Add your bot to Wikipediako bot-ak category ({{bot|bot's user name}} add this template to your bot's user page). II List your bot in this page and fill in the following information Name of the bot. Operator. Programming language. Bot flag in other wikis. Description and/or additional explanations. III Waint until approval A bureaucrat will approve the bot

Requests for the bot flag should be made on this page. This wiki uses the standard bot policy, and allows global bots and automatic approval of certain types of bots. Other bots should apply below, and then request access from a steward if there is no objection.

  • main task: changes external links which are outdated and can be successfully replaced by a new one.
  • side job: interwikis, but only supervised on single sites (done by py)
• Already has a bot flag on: 60+ wmf projects (see all flags)
• Function Details:

  The bot replaces urls that have to be changed. This can be only a domain change or a more complex page structure change on a website. Links are dectected with the help of the api (and not with regex) and are only replaced if the webserver of the new url returns a 200-status-response for that new resource. “Link text” is not changed. (own framework written in java - used by all of my bots)
