"The Star-Spangled Banner" (euskaraz Izarrez betetako bandera) Estatu Batuetako ereserkia da.

The Star Spangled Banner 1931en bihurtu zen Estatu Batuetako ereserki ofiziala, nahiz eta Armadak lehenago zuen ereserkitzat.

Normalean, lehen estrofa baino ez da abesten. Protokoloak dio (1942ko Nazional Ereserki Kodigoak hain zuen) ereserkia entzutean kapela kenduta, zutik eta banderari begira egon behar dela eta bandera ez izatekotan musikariei.

Hitzak

Hitzak, Francis Scott Keyk, 35 urteko abokatua eta esperientzia gabeko poeta, idatzi zuen. 1814ko irailaren 14an, 1812ko Erresuma Batuaren aurkako gudan, Baltimoreko McHenry gotorlekua presoa zegoela, estatubatuarrek gotorlekua irabazi eta bandera dardar ikusi ondoren, segidan idatzi zuen poema.

From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:

And the star-spangled banner, in triumph doth wave

O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand

Between their loved home and the war's desolation!

Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n-rescued land

Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,

And this be our motto: "In God is our Trust."

And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave

O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Nuestro himno (euskaraz Gure ereserkia), 2006ko apirilaren 28an egindako proposamena zen. Ereserkiaren gaztelaniazko bertsioaz baliatuz, legez kontrako etorkinen egoera salatu nahi zen. Hala ere, George W. Bush presidenteak ez zuen onartu bertsioa.
