It passestwice round the waist, and is knotted at the back aswell as the front. In Plate VIII. the deep ornamentalcollar is worn over the cape. The collar, which wasfastened down the back, is shown in plan (Fig. lie). This particulardraping is the inspiration of the decoration on Plate II.Similar drapings without the twisting were worn bothby men and women. It is interesting to note that apractically similar garment is worn in Burma at thepresent day by both men and women.
