Deutsch: Der Stadt Heimbach ist mit Urkunde des Preußischen Staatsministeriums vom 19.05.1930 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden. „Es zeigt in schwarz einen silbernen Zinnenturm mit rotem Dach, roten Pechnasen und offenem roten Fallgatter, sein Sockel überdeckt mit einem gelehnten goldenen Schildchen, darin ein rot bewehrter und rot gezungter schwarzer Löwe.“ Das Wappen ist von einem alten Siegel abgeleitet und zeigt ein altes Stadttor und den Jülicher Löwen im kleinem Schild.
English: „The arms were granted on May 19, 1930. The town was granted city rights by Count Wilhelm of Jülich in 1343. The oldest seals showed a city gate with in front of the gate the arms of Jülich. The arms are based on these seals, but the composition of the arms and the shape of the tower have changed often during the centuries, according to the fashion of the time.“
