English: Tatra KT4DM car no 302 in Gotha's blue variant livery is looking most attractive - as were similar cars in the yellow livery - outside the terminus at Waltershausen. Behind the tram is the DR railway station which at the time supported an extremely busy Mitropa bar cum cafe, no doubt kept in business by the large workforce travelling to and from the IFA vehicle factory here. Six Tatra KT4DM trams, 301-6 were introduced in Gotha between 1981 and 1982. A further thirteen similar vehicles, 307-19 , were acquired from Erfurt in 1990.

301 and 302 were in the blue town livery originally, 303-6 in the yellow Thueringerwaldbahn yellow livery. In 2000 these were all modernised.
