This practical proof of the value of the machinedecided Messrs. Starley & Sutton to go ahead, andwithin a month or two the example of Messrs. Hill-man, Herbert & Cooper, who had introduced theKangaroo with a big road race, was followed, and ahundred miles contest was arranged. Upon that testpractically hung the future of the machine.
