DeskribapenaVictorian Customs House - geograph.org.uk - 531998.jpg
English: Victorian Customs House This building was a hub of activity when the port was open with vessels carrying timber for pit props, iron ore for the foundries and whale products from the local whaling fleet. During World War 2 the port was requisitioned by the Navy and never really recovered as Grangemouth developed a container terminal and Dr Beeching closed the railway station. Notices in the windows suggest that redevelopment may be coming soon.
