The Men Behind the Wire (euskaraz "Txarrantxa atzeko gizonak"), Barleycorn irlandar folk taldeko Paddy McGuigan musikariak Demetrius operazioa jazo ondoren idatzitako irlandar abesti matxino bat da. 1971an Belfast hirian argitaratua izan zen eta 1972ko urtarrilaren 22rako Irlandako abestien sailkapeneko lehen postura iritsi zen, ordurarte salmenta gehien izan zituen irlandar singlea bilakatuz.

1971ko abuztuan, Ipar Irlandako gatazkaren hasieran, Britainiar Armadak Demetrius operazioa burutu zuen, honetan Irlandako Errepublikar Armadako kideak izatea susmagarri ziren 342 lagun atxilotu eta inongo epaiketarik gabe barneratze-esparruetan preso sartu zituzten.
