Laburpena

Deskribapena
English: 15th-century painting of a Spanish nobleman, supposedly Pedro de Peralta y Ezpeleta (1421–1492).

This image is apparently reproduced from a newspaper clipping (Diario de Navarra, 16 March 1947), where it was captioned Mosen Pierres de Peralta ante el vicario de Cristo.. The original painting is unidentified. The identification of its subject is unconfirmed, and may be mistaken. Compare this El Mundo article of 26 May 2007 which shows the

17th marquis of Falces with a different portrait of the same period, of a nobleman in a similar pose, identified as un retrato del antepasado al que los Reyes Católicos obsequiaron con la espada del Cid [i.e. Pedro de Peralta y Ezpeleta].
