Irene Cara Escalera (New York, 1959ko martxoaren 18a - Miami, 2022ko azaroaren 25a) estatubatuar abeslari eta aktorea izan zen.

Bronxen jaio zen, aita portorricoarra eta ama kubatar-estatubatuarra zituen alaba.

Flashdance... What a Feeling abestiaren egileetako bat izan zen eta abestu egin zuen. Flashdance filmeko abesti ezagunena izan zen eta Irene Carak abesti onenaren Oscar saria irabazi zuen 1984an. Fame filmean ere Coco Hernandezen papera antzeztu zuen.
