Horietatik 4 estatuk Commonweath izena hartzen dute, state izena hartu ordez. Subiranotasun partekatu honen ondorioz, hiritar bat, estatubatuar bat, herrialde federaleko nahiz estatuko hiritarra da, berak hautatu duen etxebizitzan[1] eta ez du gobernuaren baimenik behar estatu artean mugitu eta etxebizitzaz aldatzeko.
